GEOList Summary: Using Data to Set Community Indicators
The Greater New Orleans Foundation has been hosting a group of local funders dubbed the Southern Louisiana Grantmakers Forum who regularly gather to learn together. At a recent meeting, we had a great presentation from our local data center www.gnocdc.org and it got us to thinking about looking for communities who have had success in looking at data collectively—funders, government, business, K-12 schools, higher ed, etc—to begin to develop a set of indicators to which we could then approach collectively. Anyone been involved with a community indicators project recently that holds promise? Thanks in advance!
