GEOList Summary: Types of Health Insurance Plans
1. What type of health/medical insurance plan(s) your foundation offers its employees: co-pay, hospital deductible, hybrid hospital deductible, high deductible, up front deductible, or exchange? 2. Does your foundation cover 100% of health care premiums for the employee? Any premium costs for dependents/family members? 3. Does your foundation make available to its employees access to a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), a Health Savings Account (HSA), and/or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA)? 4. Does your foundation have a waiting period before staff are benefit eligible for health insurance? If so, how long? 5. Any lessons learned or recommendations on pitfalls to avoid?
