GEOList Summary: Technology for Grantmaking and Board Members
Our Foundation is considering the feasibility of providing technology such as iPads, tablets or other devices to our Board of Governors to assist them in fulfilling their responsibilities. The idea is to increase timeliness, their efficiency and reduce the amount of paper, and related costs of distributing meeting binders/packages, by supplying all of this information electronically which they could access remotely or at a meeting they are attending. For grantees, they could submit photos, charts and supplement their proposals with higher quality images to get their ideas across in a more effective capacity. I wonder if any of you have undertaken a similar process, and what advice you might offer?
