Recently, one of the committees decided that they want to use the next round of grantmaking to “encourage” collaborations and partnerships among similarly focused nonprofits. Understanding the complexities of collaborations, please share any information on how funders can be effective supporters of nonprofits seeking to collaborate/partner without prescribing something that is doomed to fail, or only last as long as the funds are there to support the collaboration/partnership?
