GEOList Summary: Social Media Policy
I’m looking for good examples of social media policies and practices. We’re gearing up to create better channels for communicating with our members and with wider audiences, of the blog/twitter/ning sorts. Given that members of our staff already blog/twitter on their own time, I’m cognizant of needing to establish a clear understanding of what is appropriate on our organizational channels versus personal channels, as well as some way to ensure use of the organizational channels supports our overall messaging and outreach efforts. I’d rather be proactive than worry once the horse has left the barn, so any models would be greatly appreciated.
