GEOList Summary: Readings for Small Nonprofits on Accessing Funders
I have been asked to present to graduate students in a course focused on learning how to engage authentically and effectively with leaders of nonprofits in low-resource communities. Part of the class involves the students working with a community partner (a small nonprofit) and helping them identify strategies for presenting themselves to funders. I am interested in providing a few readings ahead of time for the students. Do you have any recommendations of articles that would address opportunities and/or skills needed for smaller nonprofits to make their case to funders?
