GEOList Summary: Programming Planning Instructions
The IDRC (International Development Research Centre) supports 5 year programs that give grants, technical assistance, networking support, etc. to research for development projects on thematics (food security, peace and conflict, ICTs, etc.). We`re currently reviewing the guidelines we give programs in preparing their overall strategy document (what to include in the document, how to develop the document, etc.). Each program`s strategy is presented for approval to our Board of Governors. We`d like to know what instructions, content, and formats different organizations require of programs when they submit a proposal to the Board for a 3-5 year program of work. Thanks in advance to anyone on the list who can share any documents with us. Also, if you have any criteria or processes for reviewing a program`s strategy document from an evaluation point of view (the evaluability of what the program proposes), we`d also be grateful if you`d share that.
