GEOList Summary: Nonprofit Incubators
We are exploring the possibility of an incubator for nonprofit and philanthropic organizations, and are in the process of trying to learn more about existing and successful models. Some preliminary questions we would like feedback on: Has your foundation funded these types of spaces? If so, were there any specific criteria or selection process developed to determine the organizations that were housed in the space? Were there any additional services were included as part of the arrangement? (For example: admin/overhead costs, technical assistance or other capacity building services by the part of the funder or other organization.) Also, if you know of particular models or organizations that are doing this well and are willing to share your knowledge, please let us know.
