GEOList Summary: Nondiscrimination policies
We are exploring the idea of developing a nondiscrimination policy for our grantmaking program and are seeking samples as well as answers to the following: What issues were taken into consideration when developing your policy? Is your policy aimed at program participation/membership/service provision, hiring practices, or both? How does your policy currently read and how is it implemented (included in your public guidelines and/or as part of signed application or grant agreement)? Did you seek legal counsel as part of your process? Have you experienced any unintended consequences related to the policy? (e.g. resulting in organizations that you did not anticipate becoming ineligible for funding). Thank you in advance for taking the time to reply to this posting.
