GEOList Summary: Mapping Software
Do you use mapping software or other tools in your grantmaking? I’m thinking in terms of the grantmaking process (not strategy mapping, systems mapping, or social network analysis—although obviously, those can be very helpful, too.) What specific tools/software do you use? Would you recommend them? If you do use mapping tools as part of your grantmaking process, what types of data do you map? And more importantly, for what types of purposes are the maps used—What questions are answered? What decisions are made? How does it influence your ongoing work?
