GEOList Summary: Keeping Board Informed of Strategic Plan
Do you have any suggestions for successful ways to keep your board members apprised on the progress-to-date with implementing your strategic plan? Our Foundation’s board meets 4 times per year, alternating twice by phone and twice in person. Can you suggest successful ways to inform board members *between board meetings and at board meetings* on how well the strategic plan is being implemented? For example, do you find narrative reports useful? Are Power Point presentations at a meeting useful? Have you had success with phone calls or meetings face-to-face between meetings with individual board members? Any other ideas of successful communication processes and/or activities to keep your board informed?
