GEOList Summary: Grants Management Job Description
We are re-designing an open position and I seek insights on positions at your foundation which might approximate what we are looking to do. Our grantmaking activities are handled by a staff of four. In addition to our President/CEO, we have two program officers and one additional position, now open. Historically, this position has been largely clerical in nature (e.g. correspondence, data entry, office management) and we are looking to transition it to handle more grants management responsibilities. Some of these responsibilities have either been handled by program officers or not done as effectively as they might have or at all without dedicated grants management resources. While we are consulting other sources, I’d appreciate receiving job descriptions for any positions in your organizations that you think might be good examples for us. I’m also very open to thoughts on what we might keep in mind as we re-design this position.
