GEOList Summary: Grant Reports
I am interested to know how other foundations are dealing with reporting requirements and grant reports. I am especially looking for feedback from funders who offer small general operating grants ($ 5,000 – $ 15,000) and who consider multi-year support. Do you always request final reports (or just for specific instances such as when organizations are returning to the foundation for funding)? Do you ask for the same report regardless of the type of grant - one-time award versus ongoing? Do you use (extensive) report guidelines? Can you share these guidelines with me? Do you go for the typical paper copy or do you invite “creative reports” – pictures, comics, videos etc. We are curious how other foundations approach this process and we are searching for best practice examples.
