GEOList Summary: Grant Budget, Operating Budget and Financials Reporting to Board
The time has come once again for new Board member Orientation. Providing adequate information to Board members can be difficult, especially with new Board members. We are wondering if any of you have found difficulty in explaining the connection between your Grant Budget, Operating Budget and Financials. If so, are their particular formats that you have found to work better, whether that be in spreadsheet reports say for Grant Budgets or summarized reports for all? If samples are available and need to be confidential, we will honor your request. Also, can you provide feedback as to the amount of information/detail that you provide to your Boards on each of the topics?
