GEOList Summary: Dashboards
Currently at the Packard Foundation, we’re looking at different dashboard options for our organization. Our dashboards have been a valuable tool for periodic reflection and for reporting progress (here is an example of our OE subprogram dashboard), and there is opportunity for improvement. We are interested in how they could be evolved into a tool that better guides and informs ongoing decision-making and strategic adaptation at the program level. We have a particular interest in dynamic and interactive tools. As part of our research, we’d like to learn from the experiences that other Foundations have had with dashboards and performance management tools. Do you have a dashboard that you’d be willing to share? Can you point us to effective tools for ongoing monitoring of progress and/or performance management?
