GEOList Summary: Approval Authorities
The Northwest Area Foundation is interested in your experiences regarding levels of approval authority at your respective foundations. We would greatly appreciate your feedback on the following: - What are your levels of grant approval authority - both the group/individual, and how much they can approve? - Do you have a cap on the total grant dollars any of the above groups can approve in a time period? If so, what is it? - What is your total grantmaking (in dollars) for an average year? - If you use a program committee, what do they do outside of approving grants? - Do you or have you ever used a strategy concept, whereby the program committee (or board) approves a strategy, and then numerous grants are approved as part of the strategy at lower levels of approval authority?
